We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Design Team Leader to join our team and take ownership of design delivery across multiple exciting projects.
This is a key role at the heart of our business, bringing together Sales, Solutions, Engineering and Operations to turn project requirements into accurate, practical and deliverable design solutions.
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of Revit Specialists, Project Design Engineers and Setting Out & Surveying Engineers, guiding projects from the initial request through concept development, detailed design and construction documentation.
What you’ll be doing
- Review drawings and models prior to submittal ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulatory and internal standards and industry best practices.
- Maintain thorough records of all design activities, including design changes, approvals, and decisions.
- Create and maintain accurate 3D models of Pumping applications using Autodesk Revit.
- Produce detailed construction documentation and drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, based on the Revit model.
- Conduct ongoing project reviews with the Solutions teams and Engineering Managers.
- Supervise, support and motivate a team of Revit Specialists, Project Design Engineers and Setting Out & Surveying Engineers during the concept and design phases.
- Monitor team performance, attendance, and conduct, escalating concerns to management where appropriate and supporting informal resolution where possible.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
- Proven previous experience as a Lead Engineer, Engineering Team Leader or similar role in related industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit (preferably including both architectural and Mechanical Electrical Plumbing).
- Experience in creating and managing Revit families, templates, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating with project teams and clients, with the ability to keep accurate, clear and detailed records.
Beneficial:
- Knowledge of site surveying procedures and tools (GPS, Robotic EDM, etc) would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, etc.) is beneficial, but not essential.
- Experience working within a pumping, mechanical, construction or similar engineering environment.
