As part of the Technical Training team within GTIS, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical training and application support across the PRS business units and the wider Workdry Group. You’ll help shape how electrical knowledge is passed on—supporting new starters, upskilling experienced engineers, and driving service excellence across the organisation.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with a strong focus on training delivery, learning development, and continuous improvement.
This role will be based in Liverpool, with frequent travel within the UK.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical training within the Workdry academy to the electrical teams to maintain the highest standards across the business. Training will range from new electricians starting within the group through to advanced installations for experienced electricians.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve structured electrical training pathways for all electrical personnel across the Workdry Group
- Work alongside the Technical Author to create detailed technical documentation for existing equipment within the business and any new equipment brought into the fleet.
- Complete required electrical training documentation to standard while working with pump integration teams and external OEMs to build expertise in Selwood products
- To assist Selwood Manufacturing with technical support, training and guidance when requested.
- Assist the technical team in developing quality technical training materials and user guides to agreed standards, for internal and external personnel.
- Personally carry out all activities in compliance with company policies, safe working practices, and SHEQ reporting requirements, having regard for own health and safety as well as other parties and the environment
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field, with strong practical experience in electrical pumping systems.
- Proven experience developing processes, procedures, training materials, and user guides for internal teams.
- Hands-on experience with PLC, 3 Phase electric motors, VSD Programming, Control systems, Telemetry & Fault Finding in electrical equipment
- Confident problem-solver with the ability to diagnose issues on site and communicate clearly, building strong relationships across stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ requirements and commitment to safe working practices
- Able to work independently or collaboratively, bringing innovative, practical solutions and leveraging ideas from both the team and external sources.
- IT-literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Full UK driving licence and unrestricted UK passport, with overseas travel as required.
