About The Role
 As our Electrical offering goes from strength to strength we are pleased to invite applications for the position of Area Commissioning Electrician to be based from our branch in Leeds.
 
The Area Commissioning Electrician's objective will be to attend technical installations and support our local electrical teams with commissioning, electrical testing and applicational knowledge to maintain a customer centric focus throughout the business and to develop a "one team" ethic. This role will help and support the Asset and Support Manager to plan, manage, support and develop the area electricians as well as prioritise the electrical service  / safety inspections as part of our core procedures.
 
Tasks and responsibilities;
  • To work as part of the UK Electro Submersible team delivering the highest standard of service to deliver a customer centric focus to our electrical department.
  • To help prioritize monthly electrical services and safety inspection schedules, help develop are prioritized efficient plans to minimise overdue task’s.
  • Working with the Asset and support manage to develop daily team objective and plan electrical workloads. 
  • To attend sites with the local electrician to inspect the work being completed; to make sure the installations are being completed and testing in accordance with the IEE regulations.
  • Support the asset and support manager in communicating to electricians ensuring their involvement and recognition towards achievement of company objectives.
  • Support electricians with issues arising from customers and internal departments within Selwood in a professional manner, seeking best possible solution for the individuals and the business.
  • To communicate with the Asset support manager aiming to maximise availability and utilisation of submersible pumping equipment and ancillary equipment within the northern and southern regions.
  • Advise on recruitment, training and motivation of new and existing staff by promoting the core values and encouraging flexibility and teamwork with all other teams across the company.
  • To ensure that all company administration, quality assurance and health and safety policies are fully adhered to and that all activities are carried out in full compliance both with our policies and relevant statutory legislation.
  • To liaise and support sales teams with any technical queries working towards delivery of a first class service to our customers.
  • To liaise and advise the Training Coordinator in matters relating to the development of training courses for Electrical Staff.
    To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
Qualifications:

Desirable;
C&G 2382 -18th edition IET Wiring Regulation
C&G 2377- 22/32 – Combined Management Inspection and Testing (PAT Testing)
C&G 2330 – Level 3 Certificate Electro Technical Technology
C&G2391- Inspection Testing & Certification
JIB Registered (ECS card Holder)

Preferred;
ILM/CMI in Management or Diploma in Management Studies
Recognised Diploma in Supervision/Management
IOSH Managing Safely
First Aid course

Skills & Competencies:
Electrical Field Engineer/Electrical Contractor or Project Manager knowledge
Excellent IT skills 
The ability to analyse complex problems and assess possible solutions 
The ability to explain design ideas clearly 
Strong decision-making skills 
Excellent communication skills 
The ability to prioritise and plan effectively 
Good budgetary skills
Knowledge and appreciation of construction procedures
Excellent team working and people skills
A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations.
