About The Role
In order to provide service excellence to our internal customers across our 28 Selwood branches Nationwide and Siltbuster Head Office, we are looking for a IT support Technician to provide effective IT assistance to users across all aspects of the business.
This role will work from our Selwood Head Office site and will form an integral part of the wider IT  team reporting to our IT Support & Implementation Manager . This role will be required to travel to our Siltbuster site in Monmouth as well as periodic visits to support our network of branches to aid with support / deployment of new services.
The IT Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems and Microsoft Exchange environment plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software.
  • To work closely with the IT team to continually improve the network and infrastructure within the group.
  • Provide Helpdesk support for all PC users covering all Selwood’s systems, general PC operation and Hardware, logging calls placed with external Support companies when necessary.
  • Mobile Phones - Order new connections, accessories and upgrades and provide support for all Company Mobile phone users.
  • Maintain the computer network, routers, the e-mail system (Exchange), Email Security and anti-virus software and documentation.
  • Audit all PCs and Laptops to ensure the company has licences for all software in operation and that the Software is supported.
  • Undertaking small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Director.
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops.
  • Installing authorised software to laptops and desktops.
  • Performing basic administrative support duties, as required, to meet specific operational objectives.
  • To maintain, plan, and run all necessary batch jobs to ensure operating procedures are kept up to date.
  • To control the inventory of computer stationery and ancillary media, ordering new supplies as required.
  • Ensure the documentation of all computer systems is kept up to-date.
  • To ensure all Company QHSE procedures are complied with.

The successful candidate will be a confident self stater with a can-do attitude and a passion for stakeholder service delivery. Must  be a strong communicator with ability to deal with all levels of internal stakeholders. This role will require managing changing priorities in at times a pressurised environment, so the ability to remain calm and methodical is required.

A qualification relating to the IT environment is essential and proven history within a similar support role is essential for this position.
A full driving licence will be required.
